Becoming an FFL is much easier said than done, because the powers that be really do not like passing them out to the citizens.  We have all seen the Constitution get trampled upon these days and the rights of citizens get pushed aside under the guise of many different issues.  Becoming an FFL is still a right to many citizens, but that right is being tested to the maximum these days in a concerted effort to make the overall process difficult to be completed.  Despite having the right to bear arms, you do not have the right to become a Federally Licensed Firearms dealer.  In fact, even if you qualify for all of the requirements, you more than likely do not know enough to actually complete the FFL application process correctly.  Even if you know you have all of the requirements, if you do not fill out and complete the entire application process correctly…you will never become an FFL.

Although our society does not prohibit ANYONE form applying for an FFL…that is where the rights of the average citizen come to a screeching halt.  Although anyone can apply, because that is the right guaranteed, the application process is all that anyone is guaranteed.  The fact that the becoming and FFL has become a convoluted mess is not a mere coincidence or simply the result of a bloated government.  We feel as if the truth behind the maze of regulations has been crafted in such a way to make the entire process of becoming and FFL so overwhelming and time consuming that most applicants will simply walk away after their initial application is rejected for some obscure, yet administratively “relevant” issue.  Becoming an FFL has been turned into such an overwhelming bureaucratic mess that applying for one without professional help is akin to being charged with a crime and appearing in court without an attorney.

The point we hope to make here is that if you are hoping on becoming an FFL you had better seek the advice of counsel and we really do not mean an attorney.  What we are referring to is that you get the assistance and advice from an organization that knows the ropes and the pitfalls.  The cost to use any decent FFL preparation company is extremely inexpensive and well worth the cost.  We feel this way for one simple reason and that is that we believe the entire process of becoming an FFL as been turned into a maze that almost guarantees you will screw something up, and your application will be rejected.  Having the application being rejected, for ANY reason is what we feel is the goal of the organizations that oversee the process.

The law still forces the government to accept applications and the government, by law, has to respond “within a timely manner.”  The timely manner is really all that is required to fulfill the letter of the law and if you make an error in the application…your hopes of becoming an FFL will be sidelined for months to follow, if you decide to continue the pursuit.    Many wanna be FFL applicants give up and go away at this point, which may be the goal overall, and this rejection process can drag on for months and years.  The only obligation you are guaranteed, as a citizen, is that your application will be accepted and reviewed and if it is rejected, that obligation has been fulfilled.  Once that obligation has been fulfilled…just get in line and shut up and wait.  Of course you will have to pay more fees for the process to continue and the wait has no guarantee under law, as it pertains to any time limit.

If you hope on ever becoming an FFL you can proceed on your own and save the $20.00 bucks or so and maybe you will do it all, in the up to the moment requirements, and maybe you will get it approved on the first go around.  Statistically speaking…you will not pass and the cost to continue will be more than the price of getting advice on becoming an FFL.  Whatever you decide to do, just remember the odds are stacked against you and they really do not want you to get one.

If you were charged with ANY crime at all, even if you were 100% innocent, would you go to court without an attorney?  Of course not!  You know it and I know it… and I do not even know you!  Why would you think for even one second you do not need professional help in becoming an FFL?
