FFL Application Questions
There is much mystery around applying for a FFL. On one side of the argument you hear people saying that the questions asked to get a FFL are designed to keep you from getting your FFL and on the other side you hear people telling you that the process is easy. As a new comer there is one thing that is sure and that is that the entire FFL application process seems a bit over whelming at first glance. In an effort to take away some of the mystery of getting a FFL, here are some questions and some answers for applying for the FFL. Here are some answers to what may be some of your FFL application questions. We have provided a link, for your convenience to a government website that pertains to [18 USC 923(d)(2), 27 CFR 478.47(c)]. This is the portion of the law that pertains to commerce in firearms and ammunition. We encourage you to click on over the the government site to help you realize that the entire FFL application process has been overly complicated to make gun ownership more difficult in America. In our opinion, the simple act of owning a gun has become a process that scares many individuals away. If you doubt that, then click on over to the ATF question and answer section on their website. Before we get into a brief summary of the most popular FFL Application Questions we want you to see all the stuff the government has put out to help you get the FFL. We encourage you to read over all the stuff because it is overwhelming and that is because of a little thing called the 2nd Amendment.
Because of the 2nd Amendment the government is required to allow citizens the right to buy and own a gun. The FFL is what allows a person to be able to sell guns. In many circles it is the unquestionable truth that the government does not want to give out any more FFL’s than they have to. Although the laws say that we have the right to bear arms, the law does not state that the right to bear arms has to be easy to exercise. By creating the above system demonstrated by the two government links, the process to buy and sell guns has been legislated to the point of supreme bureaucratic dictatorship. The entire process to get a FFL has been buried under laws and regulations that threatens the very existence of the 2nd Amendment. If you doubt this, then try to understand the laws well enough while working 40 hours a week and taking care of the kids and not having the money to pay an attorney! Lets explore two popular questions and answers that pertain to the FFL application process.
- How long does it take to approve or deny an application for a FFL?
The approval or disapproval should take no more than 60 days. The clock starts ticking the day your application is received at the Federal Firearms Licensing Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia (FFLC).
- When do you get your license?
The gun control act requires the ATF to act on a properly completed application withing 60 days. The ATF only considers it to be a complete application once all of the required information has been submitted in writing. If there is an error in forms, or an error in filing, an error in fees, and error in the correct number of legible fingerprint cards, an error in the application being completed correctly, an error the business name, an error in premise address, and error in the hours of operation, an error in EIN and on and on and on and on…, the entire process gets reset and the file gets rejected and you are once again going to have to set your clock to FFLC time zone.
Also there can be delays to complete background checks, face to face interviews, establish zoning requirements, determining local laws, more fingerprint cards that could not be “read”. Any and all reasons to cause a delay, WILL cause a delay. That delay really pans out as a denial and then that opens the door to the “loophole” of the law. By their own admission, the government has 60 days to process your application the first time, but if it is denied for any reason, you have the right to appeal. The process to appeal has no time limit, so when you apply for your FFL, you really need to get it right the first time. If you want to get it right you need the help of FFLKit.com, because they have the experience and the history behind them to be able to unwind the entire process for you. If you screw up the initial application on filing your FFL application…”this process is significantly lengthy and could obviously exceed 60 days“. So if you are filing your FFL application, you better get it right the first time or plan on getting a refill on your patience, you will need it.
Sure, the entire process of applying for a FFL is legal, but then everything Hitler did was legal too. Remember, we are talking about buying guns and the process has been legislated to death because of the simple fact that the government does not really want to allow the population to own guns. After you read all of the links above be sure to check out FFLKit.com, they will help you make sense of the entire FFL application process. They will be the ones to help you file your FFL application correctly the first time. They will be able to give you more support in actually being able to get your FFL in spite of all the rules, regulations and laws thrown before the citizens of America.
We could go on and on about what a person needs to obtain a FFL and we want you to understand the one and most important aspect of the entire process. That singular point is that they do not want you to obtain your FFL. Since there is a 60 day window the law requires them to act upon, if you are denied for any reason, they have satisfied the law and now your application starts the journey through the land of limbo. That is why you need the assistance of a FFL kit to help you navigate the path of obtaining your FFL. You have seen the links to the government sites we provided above, you gave up and came back to this little article and now you need to decide….how bad do you want your FFL? How bad do you want to exercise your right that was given to you by our forefathers? How bad do you NOT WANT to allow your rights to be trampled upon? If you are like many of the awakening Americans, then we need to work from within to get our nation back on track. We need to use the laws that are in effect now and the best way is to give them what they are requiring to be given. Go ahead and apply for your FFL and make sure you answer the FFL questions correctly the first time and the process is tamed and you can get your FFL. If you have the money it is even suggested that you hire and attorney, but we all know how costly that can be and how the law supports those that have the best lawyer. If you do not have the money to hire an attorney to file for you, then get a FFL kit. The best kit out there is FFLKit.com.
