With the political environment in America today it is no surprise to me that so many people are asking how to apply for a FFL. I have even heard some people tell me that they are afraid to apply for a Federal Firearms License because they fear the government will retaliate against them in some way. You know, as well as I do, that the current climate in America is one that does not really want you to be able to even own a gun, let alone want you to understand how to apply to get your Federal Firearms License. With that being stated, you really should understand the process of how you will be screwed out of obtaining a FFL, if you try to get one yourself.
If you have the money, I suggest you simply head on down to your attorney and use him / her to help you apply, but if you don’t have the cash to use an attorney, then I suggest you listen up, because there is a really good possibility that you will end up waiting years to get an FFL, and that is if you ever even get one. The current situation in our blessed nation is that the powers that be have set up a system to ensure your “rights are not violated” while at the same time preventing as many people from being able to get an FFL.
The process to get an FFL is convoluted and messed up to make the entire process difficult to navigate and hard to do correctly. Our government hierarchy is obligated (at least for now) to allow you to apply for a FFL, but is not under any obligation to approve the FFL that you submit an application to obtain. In fact, they will seek ways to deny your application over the most trivial administrative mistake. If you do not fill out the application 100% correctly, you will be denied an FFL, with the opportunity to resubmit your application at a later date. What this means is that your application for a FFL will be accepted and reviewed in a timely manner, as the law requires. Once your application is denied, the letter of the law has been fulfilled and since there are no time limits on how long a review takes, you will wait awhile.
If you doubt this just search the Internet for help on how to apply for an FFL and NO government websites appear. Then try and search for free shit like food stamps and the government is EVERYWHERE in the search results! Yet, when you searched for help to file for an FFL, this tiny, little website is in the results! Amazing…when you think about it for a moment.
If you search food stamps, illegal immigration, social security…..you have government websites listed page after page. Yet, when you ask for how to apply for a FFL, the government is silent! When I tell you”they” do not want you to get one, it may simply be my opinion but the search engine results really should make you pause for a moment.
The thing you need to understand is that if you mess up any one portion of the complicated FFL application process, you will be rejected and then your money is gone and the line that you end up in may take years for review. Doubt this? Then submit your FFL application without professional help. If you decide to do that you may soon learn that is would be similar to going to court without an attorney to represent you. You can get crushed b y the process! If you want to apply for an FFL you better get the assistance of an attorney, or the help of an FFL application kit. Without the assistance of either, your application will fail, as the statistics suggest.
Do not get bullied by the fact that the FFL application process has been complicated without any official assistance to a point that you are EXPECTED to fail. In fact…the FFL application process can be a mystery without assistance because that is the way it may have been designed. If you apply and fail, you are screwed and will wait and wait and wait for the review process. OH! and by the way…if your FFL application is rejected you better bring your checkbook…….because nothing is free when you have to apply again and again.
