Backyard fruit will be against the law, so the BATFECF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, Explosives, Consumption and Foodstuffs) will come to every house and kill all fruit trees on the property to be sure you’re not competing with the government "clean" food program..
Only government food will be sold by the nationalized grocery stores. it will be packaged in re-usable clay containers made by public school elementary ‘students’, and if you’re found damaging one or throwing it away, there will be a hefty fine for ‘wasting America’s youth’.
Saturated fat and natural sweeteners will be banned, as will all meat and fried food. Everything sold at government owned restaurants will be boiled only. Anyone who says the words "Hamburger-helper" will be arrested for hate speech because animals will have rights. Anyone who says "Spotted-Owl-Helper" will be publicly ridiculed and marginalized in like manner as Joe the Plumber, Sarah Palin, George Bush or Robert Bork.
Because toilet paper will be banned to save forests, Sheryl Crow will be hired to narrate public service announcements touting the nobility of using your fingers and rinsing them off in the flush stream.
Pesticides and all cleaning products will be banned as pollutants. Natural gas, coal and fuel oil will be banned because CO2 is produced when it is used. Treadmills and generator-cycles will replace furnaces for cold nights. If there aren’t enough people in your household for an optimum sleep/heat balance, fat people will be arrested for ‘consumption crimes’ and sentenced to community service to live in your home and help until they lose weight.
Medals will be awarded posthumously for those who freeze in the dark.
